Steeped in the values of traditional culture, the National Gugak Center is an institution aimed to transmit traditional Korean music and dance, with a long history and a wide range of traditional artistic resources. Its four theaters, each featuring a Korean aesthetic, host permanent performances, Korean holiday performances, and outdoor performances. Korea's only museum specializing in gugak, displaying a wide variety of gugak artifacts and instruments, hosts special exhibitions and experiential programs, while the Gugak Education Building offers gugak instrument classes and international academic conferences.
