Architecturally, Hanbit Tower symbolizes the past, present, and future. The exterior was designed with motifs of light, science, and space. The lower part in particular was built with 1,993 pieces of granite, emulating the shape of Cheonmseongdae. This symbolizes the year of Expo ’93, which was in 1993, and the past. The observation deck in the central part, treated with stainless steel, shows Korea’s advanced science and technology and symbolizes the present at the same time. the cone at the top, which symbolizes the future, embodies Korea’s will to rise and leap forward.
Currently, with the Media Facade, Music Fountain, and Cascade in operation as part of the Expo Re-creation Project. it is becoming a night view spot loved by the citizens of Daejeon as well as tourists.
