The Gangneung Ojuk Hanok Village is a complex of modernized hanok lodgings designed to complement the surrounding environment. The line of the tiled roof on hanok buildings resembles the shape of a mountain ridge and the eaves are slightly raised to the sky, creating a flexible and open space that embodies the aesthetics of traditional architecture.

The venue offers guests a unique chance to experience traditional lodgings as well as enjoy outdoor banquets and performances. Also located within a 10-minute drive (5 km radius) from the village, along the scenic coastal road, are hotels with convention facilities (Lakai Sandpine, Skybay Hotel Gyeongpo, Seamarq, St. John’s) , major exhibition and event venues (Gangneung Olympic Park, e-Zen) and Gangneung Art Center.
In addition, the nearby Gangneung Oval used for the speed skating competitions at the 2018 Winter Olympics is being transformed into a compound with capabilities to host international conferences and meetings.
